This course is designed to equip students and practitioners with the skills and knowledge necessary to excel their legal communication and documentation processes, particularly within the context of industrial arbitration and modern technological advancements. It provides a comprehensive overview of legal communication and documentation, focusing on the various forms of legal communications between parties; and their documentation of legal processes for reference purposes. It covers the principles of law necessitating legal communication, the evidential value of such communications, and issues related to production and discovery during litigation or arbitration hearings. The course also examines the weight to be attached to different forms of documentary evidence and how reliance on these documents can enhance a party’s chances in legal or arbitral proceedings. Additionally, the course explores the influence of Industry 4.0 technologies on the design of legal communication formats for ease of documentation and durable storage. Students and practitioners will gain the necessary knowledge and skills to understand the importance of proper legal communication in the practice of industrial arbitration.
